Eric Emmanuel Tan

  		• Eric has had P&L responsibility since he started his own business in 1993. Through his 16 years of work, he has had significant experience in areas of Sales & Marketing, Operations & Logistics Management and Corporate Training
  		• He set up and trained a 400 person environmental management contract which involved:
     - Negotiating with customers on service level targets and training the contract staff to meet these service standards
     - Training the managers in routing, scheduling and monitoring of this complex project by coaching & hand-holding them throughout the initial 6-month period
     - Developing a timely & accurate logistics planning, re-ordering & cost reduction program to manage all consumable and labour costs in the contract
     - Training managers to apply techniques of problem solving, cost reduction and quality improvement on a continuous basis
  		• Eric also designed, trained and implemented a nation-wide franchise in China for cleaning chemicals distribution & services business. The key tasks and accomplishments in this project included:
     - Identifying specific target customers and negotiating sales and customer service level targets with them
     - Developing a separate sales force and a logistics & distribution team to support the sales team
     - Identifying inventory requirements for supporting the sales force according to the corporate objectives and minimizing warehouse & transport costs while meeting sales objectives and customer requirements
     - Training the sales force and service team in their respective job scope, as well as safely handling chemicals
     - Organising each franchise into a profit centre so as to provide it the entrepreneurial spirit required to succeed through training the franchise owners by hand-holding and coaching them through the initial planning, pilot and implementation period
  		• Trained the Mandarin teachers of a Singapore Early Childhood Education centre as part of their strategic implementation plan. This included conducting motivational workshops & identifying improvement plans for improving customer service standards
  		• His extensive and in-depth Operational Management experience has been in the following industries, Environmental & Cleaning services, Chemicals Distribution & Franchising, Hotel Front Desk and Housekeeping and Food & Beverage
  		• He has also worked extensively in the following countries:- Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Guangdong, Beijing & Shanghai, India, Australia & Sri Lanka
  		• Eric is effectively bi-lingual in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written He has a Bachelor of Science in Environment Management from the University of London
