• Involved in managing the out-sourced accounting functions of clients, including preparation of all financial and cashflow statements, audit preparation and facilitation, tax planning and IRAS management.

• Involved in the audit of small and medium size clients. Attendance at clients’ annual stocktake. Preparation of draft tax computations as well as deferred tax computations.
• Participation in the Republic of Singapore Air Force Open House in the capacity of “Special Accountants” on behalf of the firm.
• Supervision and review of audit files and staff. Review of audit planning memorandum and audit completion memorandum prepared by the audit staff in my team and other teams. Discussion with clients’ on tax issues and advising them on tax implications of transactions with non-resident entities and individuals with regards to withholding tax matters. Attending to tax related matters raised by clients from time to time and conducting tax training for audit staff.
• Preparation of tax computations of a corporate entity of which the firm is not the statutory auditors.
• Training the audit staff with regards to the preparation of corporate tax returns as well as deferred tax computations. Involved in the submission of estimated chargeable income for corporate clients as well requests for extension of time for corporate and personal tax clients.

• Maintenance of full set of computerized accounts including general ledger, trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet on FACT accounting system.
• Regular follow up on trade debtors locally and overseas as well as those outstanding for more than two to three years so as to enhance the company’s cash flow situation.
• Liaising with company’s bankers regarding banking facilities, letter of credits – import and export and other related matters.
• Preparation and submission, as well as participation in the negotiation of letter of credit documents with respective financial institutions.
• Involvement in sorting out the financial records of an affiliated overseas company, Clearpack Malaysia Sdn Bhd, financial records for the years ended 1993 and 1994 including review of the internal controls, employment provident fund contributions, petty cash reimbursement and follow up on accounts receivables, accounts payables and other finance related matters.
• Preparation, analysis of intercompany pricing differentials and the rectification of such differences.
• Arrangement and attendance at company’s annual stocktake. Conducting periodic stocktake at company level.
• Maintenance of accounting records of other related companies within the group and liaising with the external auditors of the company and related companies on audit, tax and other issues raised by them.
• Streamlining employees monthly claim procedures. Performance of other duties as specified by the managing director from time to time.
